Spending log, day 16
Curveball time. Earlier in the week a wise person suggested “maybe if you know Tarzhey is your weakness, change your shopping habits so you don’t have to go there.” I happen to respect this person a great deal, and had every intention of putting this into practice before the next Tarzhey essential popped up on my radar… but the radar pinged last night and I hadn’t yet come up with a plan, so off to W$nderland I went today on my lunch break. I naively thought the time constraint would help me keep my wits – your mileage may vary, of course, but that was a big fat “wrong” for me. In addition to the essential stuff I meant to buy, I spent money on jewelry, chocolate, and cat toys. I don’t need jewelry (in fact I’m pretty much set forever on that category), we already have plenty of sweets and chocolate in the house, and I don’t have a cat (that last one is not as bad as it sounds though, my best friend does… niece-cat and nephew-cat will surely love the catnip fish tacos I’m sending them). Total damage: $68.88, with only about $40 of that for essentials.
